Director General for the Regulation of Gambling

Functions

The Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling is the body responsible for exercising the regulation, authorisation, supervision, coordination, control and, where necessary, sanction functions of national level gambling activities.

Academic background

Master's Degree in Human Rights, Democracy and Globalization from the UOC (Open University of Catalonia).

MBA from the Carlos III University of Madrid.

Law Degree from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea.

Professional experience

He has experience in the public sector holding positions such as Director of Services or Entrepreneurship Facilitator in the Basque Government and, in 2009, he was elected as Regional Parliamentarian for Gipuzkoa.

Prior to his appointment as Director General for the Regulation of Gambling, he was the Controller of the Economic Control Office of the Department of Finance and Economy of the Basque Government, an activity compatible with that of Associate Lecturer at the University of the Basque Country.

He has been a member of:
